EARTH SCIENCE PROJECT

Assignment:

1.  Choose a scientist from the list your teacher gave you.

2.  Use library materials to research your scientist. (books, encyclopedias, biographies etc.)

3. Use ONLINE DATABASES

4.  Use Internet Sites

Where can you find the information for this project?

Books:  Use the ONLINE CATALOG to search for books on your topic. (hint: type in the full name of your scientist and search under “all words”)  Go to the 920, 921 section of the library for biographies. Also go to the 500-600 section of the library. There you will find books about famous scientists. Don’t forget to go to the REF (reference) section of the library to search for encyclopedias and dictionaries of famous people.
